Canada’s access to information falters

Canada’s access to information system is in a deep crisis and without urgent reforms could soon become dysfunctional, says a new report by Canadian Journalists for Free Expression.

The Access to Information (ATI) system made Canada a leader on the issue of information access when the laws were introduced, but 30 years later is suffering from delays and secrecy.
